Autumn lookbook

 For a while now, there has been an autumnal feeling in the morning air, and now it is safe to say autumn has settled. Alas, that means the apples in the orchard are to be picked and hearty crumbles and pies made. Nights are spent by the fire and days are spent taking cosy walks. Not only does autumn bring new sensation, we all re-think our wardrobes, swapping the shorts for skirts and tights, and the straw hats for tote richer coloured ones. This season kick started with the all inspiring fashion shows. I was lucky enough to get by louboutins into London fashion week on day five. Here is a round up of what we can expect for spring 14.

  1. Whites - yes white is back! But this time it is teamed with high contrasting colours and is bolder than before.
  2. Casual jumpsuits in the style of formal suits. This excellent combinations is one of the best outcomes in fashion. Teaming a formal suit in a more casual ways is a trend most designers are catching onto. And why not, with such decadent results. Not only chic and stylish but bringing comfort forward a lot.
  3. Greens and purples made an appearance in many shows, namely top shop. Topshop have been busy perfecting their statement colours.
  4. Bags- the best bag has to be the new mulberry range and my personal preference is the red colours. Red is an exciting daring colour to pull off.
  5. Blues- all these lovely high contrast blues and blacks.
Below are some photos snapped at LFW

A Celebratory Dinner

Going out for dinner can be one of the most exciting times to dress up. It is a time to experiment with clothes, hairs and beauty and the best part is most of it does not sweat off like it does when clubbing. Dinner has a certain ambience and sophistication which is part of what makes it an 'occasion'. In this post, I went to the mulberry tree (near Sutton valence Kent). The food was good, and reasonably priced although the place lacked atmosphere and the staff were rude and inattentive. As a result I would not return. The celebration was in aid of handing in my masters thesis after a year of hard work. Most of you won't know I refer to my baby as 'Ickle Pickle'. The name suits him well as he is awfully cheeky, although he is not so Ickle. Ickle pickle is always, well nearly always wonderfully behaved when out. This occasion was no different. He has always been out to dinners since he was born. Achieving good behaviour is a mixture of discipline and distraction. I bring toys and books he can interact with. Between courses, as he has just started walking, I let him walk up and down the restaurant waving at other customers. This keeps babies active enough, entertained resulting in them not crying and getting bored and frustrated. I think everyone in the restaurant had a sense of broodiness after seeing the adorable one. Anyways, onto the fashion part;

Beach fashion (mummy and baby)

Beaches are a very exciting place for me. I feel most alive whilst hearing th sea against the shore, feeling the soft salt vapour on my face and inahling 'the beach smell'; a combination of beach towels, sunscreen and fresh sea water. In my opinion, beaches are one of the most sacred places. The sand between your feet it the most natural kind of massage, the water has healing properties and the sun is fantastic for the skin. What follows, is a collection of picture from my last visit to the beach: Picture one: white dress lipsy (last season) Picture two- white bikini- new look Picture three - new look bikini and guess jeans Picture four- joules white shirt, guess jeans, for ever 21 straw hat Picturefive six and seven- jimmy choo sunglasses! Baby wears: Ralph Lauren polo shirt and m and s autograph trousers
